Why would everyone need an instrument for themselves?
On Youtube I saw Walk off the Earth doing a cover of Somebody That I Used To Know bij Gotye. These guys are amazing, not only do they sound incredible, but all five of them play the same guitar.
Awesome!

Let flow of that brush
I love to paint, but for a really long time I just didn´t do it anymore. I didn´t have inspiration or was just being lazy. Yesterday somehow I suddenly got into the mood and started painting almost right after I came home from school. I based my painting on a black and white photograph I found somewhere on the internet. It turned out okay, but you can see I haven´t painted anything in a while. Anyway, it felt great to paint again and now I´m all excited topaint some more!

More inspiration
The three short films I share with you today are made by 3 guys who traveled 11 countries, 38 thousand miles, 18 flights in 44 days and brought back with them almost a terabyte of footage to create these great films.
One day I'll travel the world!

A sound so pure
Last week my school started, so now I'm officially in my final year of highschool! I've already been so bussy that I haven't had the time to make updates. Hopefully I will find some gaps of free time in my way to full agenda to post some things here.
I'm still reading the first novel of A song of Ice and Fire: A Game of Thrones and I have watched the first episodes of the tv-serie which is based on the books. This tv-series had an amazing theme song, and on youtube I found a video of a guy who played all the parts of the song by himself on the violin, and it's amazing!
People like that inspire me. Because of him I want to play violin so badly!

Discovering Europe
The weeks back I returned from my Interrail journey trough Europe, along with my brother. We had an amazing time. With an Interrail ticket you can use trains in Europe in the period that your ticket is valid. We had a 22 days ticket and we made use of it a lot. Almost every day we traveled by train. We started are journey in Arnhem in The Netherlands, where we took the ICE to Basel in Switzerland. We stayed in a youth hostel in Basel for one night.
Those with houses with dark wooden stripes on them, are always the kind of houses I imagine when thinking of Switzerland or Austria.
It was amazing to sit near the Rhine while the sun was going down.
From Basel we went to Interlaken, wich was beautifully situated between pretty big mountains. Maybe they weren't that tall, but as a Dutch woman I'm not used to mountains.
The water seemed so blue everywhere in Switzerland, wonderful!
The talles mountain around there was the Jungfernstieg.
Interlaken was really crowded, apparantly all the tourists went there.
We decided to go to Germany and then to Sweden instead. That's what I love about those
Interrail passes, that you can be so flexibel and one minute decide to go the opposite way.
We stayed a couple of days in Hamburg in Germany. To be honest I thougt it was the least beautiful city of all the city's we've visited. Or maybe we just went to the wrong parts of the city. Well, there were a few nice buildings though.
From Hamburg we took an ICE to Copenhagen. It was quite fun, because the train went on a boat, something I had never experienced before. We stayed one night in Malmö and went to Stockholm.
Stockholm was really beautiful, there were so much amazing buildings!
We visited the old part of the city 'Gamla Stan'.
We went to the open air museum Skansen with old Swedish buildings and Swedish animals.
We saw the Vasa, the ship build from 1626 till 1628 and sunk on his maiden voyage.
From Stockholm we went to Copenhagen to stay there a few days.
We visited Cristiania, an autonomous neighbourhood within Copenhagen.
Then our journey came to an ending when we went back to the Netherlands.

Flushing away at Vlieland
Along with three friends of mine, Suzan, Sophie and Bente I went to Vlieland last week. Vlieland is one of the Dutch islands and is quite small. There's one village and two campsites. There doesn't happen much, but Vlieland got a beautifull beach and it's great to stay there in summer. Unfortunately we didn't really have nice summer weather. From the moment we arrived it raint almost every morning for a week (wich was how long we stayed there) and one day it was even raining the whole day. Lucky enough we had a least one day of nice weather so we could enjoy the sun and go to the beach. The rest of the week we went out, flew a kite, played some boardgames and we went with the Vliehors Expres.
First sight of Vlieland from the boat
Arrival at the beach
The lighthouse on Vlieland
Vlieland from the top of the lighthouse
The Vliehors Expres wich takes you on a tour trough the Vliehors
An old house for drowning people
Walk on the beach when it finally stopped raining
I'm home for a few days now, and tomorrow I will leave again to go Interrailing trough Europe with my brother. We want to visit at least Switzerland and Italy and maybe France and Spain by train. I think it's going to be fun, since we will be staying in youth hostels so hopefully we will meet a lot other young travelers.
Bye for now!
